It turns out I only have so much creative energy to go around. And with my writing, I've had a couple stories accepted for publication and I'm writing/editing/revising/submitting others... I'm even working on a novel right now. Writing takes a lot of time and energy and it's my priority.

And with my music, well, we played at MAGFest and we're playing at Nerdapalooza this summer and also working on new material for our next album (hopefully done by the end of the year!) ... so that's pretty time-consuming.

I'm sure it's telling that the only art I've posted in the past more-than-six-months has to do with the music as much as anything else. I've barely sketched anything, either, though I've tried to do some scribbles of characters from my stories. I really don't have enough creative energy to draw much these days. And it felt like my art was stagnating for so long that I was seriously disheartened. Art is just not my priority.

I've finally accepted that I just need to have somebody pose for me all the time if I want a picture to turn out, rather than drawing everything from my imagination. So I'll go with that. And maybe that means I'll actually sketch a couple of things after this.
