My boyfriend, who plays Silvan in my game, suggested that I bring a shirtless man to A-kon in an attempt to sell based on sex appeal. Naturally, he suggested the ever-modest Silvan, and given that I enjoy drawing Silvan, it was a pretty natural choice.
I actually really, really, really like how this one turned out. It's not perfect and it would probably be better if I hadn't rushed it, but I'm really proud of the slightly thrown together background. I actually had the lighting scheme in mind before I began coloring his body, which I think shows because the shading and lighting are consistently done and consistently colored.
I had to add his necklace last-minute because I forgot to sketch it. It's a gift from Mena, his not-girlfriend.
Comparing this to some old drawings I did of shirtless males, I think I have improved significantly. I got my boyfriend to pose for me and then I did some tweaking to make the body look more like Silvan. Boys are hard to draw! But it was fun.
I hope SOMEBODY else likes this picture as much as I do. It's so colorful! But it only got a couple of comments at A-kon. I think next time I might put the original out because people are more drawn to originals and then they look at the prints and like them.
Yay, thank you <3 I'm glad somebody appreciates him. I think he's a pretty good-looking guy, if only he'd shave that five-o-clock shadow sometimes... >.>
Anatomy is hard, especially with guys! I'm glad I have a willing model, even though I still had to look at some photos to figure out the shading on the muscles. And thank you for your compliments on the colors! You have a good sense of color, so I'm glad to hear that you like this one.

Silvan certainly thinks so. Oh, Silvan. There is no lack of self-confidence in this one.
I'm glad you like it. The clouds were an interesting challenge. A little bit rushed, unfortunately, but I'm surprised that I wound up making a full background by accident. I thought maybe it was just going to be a sky. But no.

Thank you. I don't know whether anybody else likes this picture as much as I do, but I was really proud of it. I love the character and I had so much fun coloring it. Sunsets are fun! I think it kind of looks like a romance novel cover, though... >.>

Ahaaha nothing wrong with a romance novel, . Actually I don't read them much. But I've read, I think 3. and those particulars were great stories and even well-written.

I've actually only read one romance novel and it was anything but well-written... the odd thing is that I was pretty young at the time and my mom gave it to me to read!
I think the character I drew in this picture would approve of being on the cover of a romance novel. Which I guess is probably kind of why I drew the picture like this...
