Brand new scanner, this time for real.

I got a new job, so I decided to celebrate by purchasing a brand new scanner from Newegg. I bought the cheapest CanoScan they had (for about $50) and it's still several models newer and shinier than my original scanner, the one that died earlier this year. Considering that that scanner was probably about 7 years old, this shouldn't come as a surprise to me.

It's much, much quieter than my old scanner and seems faster, too.

Expect a glut of new scans forthcoming.
